What skills and experience we're looking for

We seek an experienced and proactive individual who is keen to guide and support both staff and students to achieve their potential. The successful candidate will lead and improve learning and teaching throughout the curriculum area, ensuring the highest achievable standards are attained through training, observations, coaching and using department meeting time, enabling staff to work positively and collectively. They will be expected to develop the content of the curriculum, creating a challenging and appropriate course, tracking student progress and analysing data to raise achievement where necessary.

GHS is a large, multi-cultural, mixed gender, non-selective High School based in Southall, Ealing. We have a large Post-16 centre of over 500 students and our own "school within a school": I-Block, a "stepping stone" for Yrs. 7 & 8. Over the last decade we have consistently been in the top 5% of schools for student progress.
