Head of Engineering job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our successful and expanding DT department. We are looking for an inspiring and adventurous engineering teacher to join our team to help lead the creation of our new KS5 engineering course, launching in September. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach the subject at both KS4 and KS5 and will be involved in further developing the curriculum and extracurricular activities in this increasingly popular subject area.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate students. A strong team player, self-motivated and committed to continuing professional development. You will enjoy working with our motivated, well-behaved pupils and with a supportive and hard-working staff in this over-subscribed 11 - 18 mixed comprehensive school. Previous experience of teaching Engineering is essential.
