Education and Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
English degree or equivalent academic qualification

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Effective classroom management skills
Competence in using data to track and improve student progress
High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
Experience of marking for examination boards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience

Working with children across the age and ability range appropriate to the role
Previous experience teaching English in a school setting
