What skills and experience we're looking for
At Stanchester Academy we aim to provide a rich and varied education for all of our students.
We are looking for an outstanding classroom teacher, experienced in teaching KS3 and KS4. In addition to teaching our students, you will also take the lead, as Head of the English department.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a strong and highly successful department. The candidate will need strong subject knowledge in one of these subjects and have the ability to lead a strong team with good results.
Experience teaching English is essential as you will need to have the ability to inspire and develop both staff and students in order to raise standards and maximise potential in this area. You will need to be either an outstanding classroom practitioner already, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
You need to have the ability to inspire and develop both staff and students in order to raise standards and maximise potential. You will lead a strong team of teachers within our innovative curriculum.
