HEAD OF ENGLISH job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly talented, outstanding teacher, who wishes to make a real impact in this “truly exceptional school” where “behaviour is outstanding” (Ofsted).
From September 2020, we are seeking to appoint a highly qualified and creative Head of English to develop a great curriculum that enables all students to make exceptional progress.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Will be highly motivated to lead and develop the teaching and learning of English whilst working collaboratively with the department to raise standards and expectations
Will have the drive and determination to lead, motivate and develop colleagues whilst being a strong communicator
Will have a proven track record for being able to identify and implement strategies to improve the quality of English teaching for all groups of learners
Will participate fully in the wider life of the school

Since September 2021, Year 7 student intake has increased by 30 places.
