What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Estates and Compliance to be part of the Executive Leadership Team. The postholder will take specific responsibility for Facilities Management, Site Maintenance, Catering, Health and Safety and Project Management, working across all schools in the Trust. The successful candidate will be proactive, practical and an enthusiastic team player able to adapt to the changing needs of the Trust and keen to deliver excellent management services contributing to our continued success. The Trust is currently providing a traded offer of Estates and Facilities Management to a neighbouring school, and this is an element of our Trust work that we would like to develop further.

Main responsibilities include:

  • To be part of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • To be responsible for the coordination of Health and Safety and Risk Management in the school and management of any third-party service contracts in line with current legislation and HSE requirements.
  • To support the Executive Headteacher with the coordination of the Trust’s Risk Register.
  • To undertake the role of Company Secretary, including Data Protection Officer
  • To provide all schools in the Trust with a strong estates and facilities service


We are pleased to offer this permanent, full-time role of 37 hours per week all year round. The role would be perfect for someone who has experience in premises or project management and looking to further develop their career in an educational setting.
