At Toynbee, Food Technology is a standalone department and whilst the
subject is taught within the rotation of technologies at Key Stage 3, the
successful applicant would be responsible for all aspects of Food Technology at
this stage. At Key Stage 4, Food
Technology is one of the GCSE choices that pupils can make, and over the past
three years this has proven very popular after being reintroduced to the
curriculum as an option subject a couple of years before. The department is built on solid foundations
with a commitment to continual improvement in all areas, especially the curriculum
and teaching and learning, with the focus on all improvements impacting pupil
