Head of Geography job summary
We are seeking to appoint a capable, dynamic and creative individual with excellent subject knowledge, a passion for teaching Geography and a commitment to delivering a high-quality enriching curriculum experience. The appointed candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning, an ability to engage and inspire students of all ages and attainment levels and to lead the subject successfully.
Geography is a popular subject at Linton Village College; we value students as individuals and work tirelessly to ensure that the learning experiences students have is positive, engaging and inclusive. The department has a collaborative approach and greatly values enrichment, including a variety of extra-curricular opportunities, to support the wider development of our young people. We consistently achieve excellent academic results. In 2019, 64% of Geography students achieved a grade 5 or above, and 28% of students achieved a grade 7 or above.
