This is an exciting opportunity to lead a successful History department to even greater things at a very exciting time for our school. The team are enthusiastic and supportive, with a good balance of experience. Results in History are strong, in 2019 the GCSE grades were 35% 7+, 78% 4+ and a progress score of 0.5. Uptake at A-Level is good and results equally so, with 64% A*-B in 2019.

We are looking for a Head of History who is keenly interested in how young people learn, committed to high standards in teaching and learning and who can work well with colleagues in a supportive and successful school. Your level of experience is less important to us than your willingness to learn and your drive and determination to improve outcomes and provision for young people.

· someone with the highest expectations of what young people are capable of

· enthusiastic and passionate, with strong subject knowledge

· a committed and hardworking team member
