Job description

We wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to this post. The Head of House role is an essential element of our pastoral structure, providing leadership to the team of 10 tutors and the Assistant Head of House and overseeing the care, wellbeing and academic progress of all students in the House. We are looking for a colleague with the professionalism, passion and vision to take on this leadership position and to contribute to the continuing development of our pastoral provision at St Laurence.

Essential educational requirements

A recognised honours degree or its equivalent

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Essential skills and experience

A record of successful experience as a qualified teacher working in secondary schools
Experience of working in a pastoral capacity within a secondary school setting
Experience in implementing strategies to develop positive behaviours in students
Experience in implementing strategies to promote attendance
