We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join a friendly and supportive team, ready to embrace a new and exciting challenge as our Head of IT and to make a significant contribution to the Trust’s continued success.
The Head of IT will lead on the design, development and implementation of the IT strategy and manage the IT Services function, infrastructure, and technical operations. A key member of the Trust Central Team, you will help to deliver an outstanding service to staff, students, and the Central Team.
Responsibilities include to:
develop and implement a comprehensive, forward looking IT strategy that aligns with the Trust’s vision and objectives, ensuring the effective use of technology to support teaching, learning and operational excellence across all the academies.
deliver innovative, effective, and efficient IT systems and applications that enhances learning and ensures effective management and administration. This will include the development of all systems and infrastructure across the Trust.
project manage the development of all systems and infrastructure across the Trust
ensure reliable IT operations.
managing budgets and service provider relationships.
managing the IT team, including roles such as Data Manager, Network Manager, IT Support Technician etc.
The role also involves process and policy development, staff training, and attending relevant meetings, ensuring high-quality IT services for all stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills. You should have an excellent knowledge of the technology environment, ideally within education, and a proven ability to ensure our IT service facilitates a high-quality learning environment.

Growth

As part of its Multi Academy Trust strategy, the Archdiocese of Liverpool has identified a group of primary schools that are invited to join St Joseph CMAT over the coming years. This is an exciting opportunity to bring together primary and secondary schools. By working as a family of academies, we will ensure that every child benefits from an excellent Catholic education from the moment they start primary school to when they leave Sixth Form.
