Head of Learning for Life (RS Specialist Required) job summary

As the new Head of Department for Learning for Life, you will support a small team of experienced teachers who are passionateabout the importance of preparing students for the wider world. ​

In addition to the taught curriculum, students are given a wealth of opportunities outside of the classroom andwe are keen to promote this across the curriculum. You will play a key role in shaping a curriculum that not onlyequips students with essential life skills but also reflects the school’s Christian ethos. This includes embeddingour key Christian values into lesson content, discussions, and enrichment opportunities. Students have recentlywelcomed guest speakers from the local police force, NHS, and other advisory services and we are keen todevelop this offering further. ​​

Learning for Life is delivered in timetabled lessons, 75 minutes in length. We currently use a paid service(Cre8tive PSHE) as a basis for our resources which are then adapted for the needs of the students and to alignwith our school’s Christian vision.
