What skills and experience we're looking for
Moulsham High School is a high performing comprehensive school. ‘Behaviour is calm, and the atmosphere is productive and positive, making it a nice place to be’ (Ofsted 2020). Due to the retirement of the current postholder we are looking for an experienced, inspiring and ambitious maths specialist to be responsible for the strategic leadership of our highly successful Maths Faculty.
The successful candidate will lead a team of 10 subject specialists and 2 intervention
tutors to ensure that all students across Years 7-13 achieve their mathematical potential. G.C.S.E.
results are consistently above national averages and academic expectations are high. Both maths
and further maths are popular and successful A level options.
This is a pivotal and senior post within the school which is also an excellent platform for further
promotion to Assistant Headteacher and beyond. Visits to the school prior to application are strongly

This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and is not suitable for anyone who has been
barred from working in any way with children.
