What skills and experience we're looking for
The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular 11-18 school, in Rainworth, a village just outside of Mansfield. It serves the three local villages of Blidworth, Rainworth and Ravenshead. With 1400 students, we are an 8 form entry school and have a healthy uptake of A level mathematics, we also have an A level Further mathematics course.
Due to the current post holder having stepped down to a phased retirement we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced leader to lead our mathematics faculty. This position would be ideal for someone looking for the next step in Middle Leadership, or perhaps looking to broaden their experience.
The successful candidate will be passionate about Mathematics at Key stages 3, 4 and 5 and have the ability and drive to develop mathematics’ teaching expertise in others. They will be an excellent leader of people and understand how to secure the very best outcomes for all of our students.

The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular 11-18 school, in Rainworth, a village just outside of Mansfield. It serves the three local villages of Blidworth, Rainworth and Ravenshead and has around 1300 students.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified Key Stage 5 Teacher of Criminology, ideally with experience of teaching Psychology and/or Sociology A-level.
We have extremely high expectations of our students and staff and offer excellent training and professional development opportunities. This position would be ideal for either someone looking to broaden their experience of Key Stage 5 teaching.
