Qualifications

Mathematics-related degree with excellent subject knowledge.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Postgraduate qualification in Mathematics or a related field.

Experience
Essential:
Proven experience teaching Mathematics across a range of abilities and key stages.
Experience in leading, managing, or supporting a team within a department.
Use of ICT to support teaching, learning, and administration.
Desirable:
Experience teaching Further Mathematics.
Experience delivering a differentiated curriculum to students with diverse needs.
Experience in a leadership role, managing staff and curriculum development.
Knowledge
Essential:
Secure understanding of high-quality teaching and pedagogy in Mathematics.
Awareness of curriculum developments and assessment strategies in Mathematics.
Understanding of how to promote high expectations and achievement among students.
Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting student progress and engagement.
Desirable:

The Holy Cross School, founded in 1931 by the Congregation of Sisters of the Holy Cross, is a Roman Catholic School for girls aged 11-18. At Key Stage 5 the school has worked in curriculum partnership with our local boys school, Richard Challoner School, for over thirty years, and post 16 lessons are co-ed.
