What skills and experience we're looking for

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Maths degree or equivalent academic qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for maths
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Competence in using data to track and improve student progress
  • High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Experience of marking for examination boards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working with children across the age and ability range appropriate to the role

  • Previous experience teaching Maths in a school setting.

  • Recognises the contribution and achievement of colleagues

  • Keeps colleagues, stakeholders and/or customers informed of progress

  • Supports and cooperates with colleagues

  • Expresses disagreement or challenges views calmly, constructively and tactfully

  • Treats others fairly, openly and consistently

  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion

  • Able to make connection between their work and the benefits to pupils

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
