What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an outstanding Mathematics classroom practitioner across all key stages

• Is able to evidence outstanding teaching and learning in current role and GCSE results which reflect this through both attainment and progress against national expectations

• Has Qualified Teacher Status

• Is committed to the safeguarding of children

• Has a degree or equivalent qualification

• Demonstrates high levels of professionalism at all times and is a role model for others

• Is able to communicate effectively and positively with all stakeholders at all levels

• Is able to teach Mathematics to at least GCSE level and has an excellent understanding of the national curriculum

• Is committed to the wider aspects of school life including extra-curricular activities

• Is committed to leading a dynamic and forward thinking Mathematics team

• To contribute to the wider group Mathematics strategy when appropriate

• Is able to help develop high quality schemes of learning and quality assure their implementation across the department

• Is able to hold staff to account for the progress of students across the Mathematics department

• Is committed to obtaining the highest standards of achievement, and a belief that enjoyable learning is the most effective learning
