About our Head of Operational Learning & Development role (FTC) 

  

With the exciting news that our current Head of Operational Learning and Development will be embarking on maternity leave, we are looking for someone to come and join our leadership team for the next 11 months.     

  

The role is a key part of our People and Culture function, reporting to our Director of People & Culture, you'll be a key member of our experienced and supportive People leadership team. The role holder will provide strategic leadership and operational delivery across learning, talent and workforce development priorities defined by our Remarkable People strategy, ensuring continuity of key programmes and alignment with organisational priorities. The role will suit someone who is comfortable blending strategy, team management and day to day operations.  You’ll lead a small but expert team of four colleagues to deliver against these objectives.  

 . 

You’ll be responsible for: 

 Leading various large-scale L&D programmes examples including the development of the Oasis Management Competencies and associated Management Development Programme and our new Operational Development Programme further supporting the important work of our Operational teams. 

Responding to apprenticeship reforms, shaping the future model including internal provision and supplier strategy and upholding our reputation as a top Apprenticeship Employer!

Partnering senior leaders on learning and talent development, scoping learning needs for key programmes such as The Connect Project as we move to utilising Microsoft Dynamics 365 across Oasis.

About you 

 You'll be an experienced learning and development leader with a proven track record of working with senior leaders to build capability, drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You'll ideally bring expertise in apprenticeships, learning design and innovation, with experience of creating career pathways and impactful development programmes. 

 

You'll be confident leading high-performing teams, developing digital learning strategies at scale, and using learning technologies to deliver engaging solutions. You'll also have experience of strategic planning, budget management and delivering long-term organisational objectives. 

 

Above all, you'll be an inclusive leader who applies equality, diversity and inclusion principles to all aspects of your work.

Duration: This is an FTC until July ‘27 

Salary: National Leadership pay scale - Please reach out to learn more  

Base: Remote with nearest Oasis Academy or office as base location

Travel: Some requirement to visit academies as needed and head office - London

Hours: 37 hours a week

Great holiday entitlement 

• Under 2 years’ continuous service: 34 days holiday, comprising of 26 days + 8 Bank holidays. 

• Under 4 years’ continuous service: 39 days Holiday, comprising of 31 days + 8 Bank holidays. 

• Over 4 years’ continuous service: 40 days holiday, comprising of 32 days + 8 Bank holidays.
