Job summary
We wish to appoint a Head of PE to lead and manage our PE Department from September 2021. We have excellent sporting facilities with a fully equipped Sports Hall and a large playing field.
The successful candidate will be a committed and experienced teacher, who is a highly effective classroom practitioner, and has management aspirations within PE.
The role will include teaching PE across KS3 to KS5 including GCSE PE and BTEC Sport Level 3, providing leadership and management of staff, developing enrichment opportunities for students and demonstrating the ability and commitment to securing high standards of student achievement. You will also be responsible for developing students’ knowledge and awareness of a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing. A commitment to develop and participate in extra-curricular activities for students is essential.
The post is suitable for a fully qualified teacher looking to take a step into a middle leadership role and develop their career in an environment offering outstanding training and progression programmes to all.
We are committed to providing excellent CPD for aspiring Middle Leaders and for all new staff we offer a comprehensive and supportive induction programme. The successful candidate will also have access to a rich and varied CPD programme within the school and across the Federation.
