Head of Performing Arts job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Head of Performing Arts who is keen to develop their career in a school where behaviour is good and students are keen to learn. We are looking for someone who wants to grow as a leader who will have the highest standards of learning, development and achievement for all pupils with a range of high-quality performances across all year groups with extra-curricular opportunities. We require the successful candidate to be adaptable, creative, to coach and develop those around you and, if possible, but not essential, have technical theatre experience. We are looking for someone who can think creatively about how to inspire and engage our students through lessons and extra-curricular provision and who will be reflective and resilient in the face of setback and be open to making improvements to the department. Results across Art, Music and Drama are good, catering for all abilities. We have good facilities including a bespoke Drama Studio with sound, lighting and IT. We believe in the potential of every student and we are on an exciting journey to develop future leaders through The Desborough Way.
