What skills and experience we're looking for

Can you inspire students to become the next Christian Doppler or James Dewar? We are looking for a talented, inspirational and dynamic Head of Physics to join our team of science specialists from September 2023.

As Head of Physics you will be leading the development of a stimulating curriculum with vibrant co-curricular activities, working with both experienced and early-career teachers, supporting them to develop their pedagogy and be the very best teachers they can be. You will work closely with our Curriculum Leader to deliver an ambitious and engaging Physics curriculum that inspires students to enjoy and study Physics from KS3 through to A level.

At The Misbourne, our aim is to provide our students with a union of hands-on experience of physics practical and theory which will underpin their ability to apply existing knowledge in new situations. We want students to think creatively about solutions to problems. We actively promote the importance of STEM subjects within the school and would expect the successful candidate to play a significant part in developing this area through our co-curricular activities programme.
