• A degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.

• Extensive experience working with children with autism, preferably in an educational setting.

• Proven leadership and management skills.

• Strong understanding of autism and the strategies and interventions that support children with autism.

About Us Witham Oaks Academy is dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils. Our Resource Provision for Autism is a vital part of our commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to lead this provision and make a significant impact on the lives of our pupils with autism. They must be highly motivated and strive each day to ensure they receive the education they deserve.

The Role As the Head of Resource Provision for Autism Support, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing a 12-place provision designed to support children from schools within Mid Essex.

• Developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each pupil.

• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create a cohesive support network.

• Monitoring and evaluating the progress of pupils, ensuring that they are meeting their developmental milestones.

• Providing training and support to staff to enhance their understanding and skills in working with children with autism.

• Promoting an inclusive and positive culture that celebrates diversity and encourages all pupils to reach their full potential.

• Conducting outreach work to support children with autism in other schools within Mid Essex.
