What skills and experience we're looking for

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and secure high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Brockley site
  • Ensure effective safeguarding systems and a safe learning environment
  • Lead and develop staff performance, culture, and professional standards
  • Oversee behaviour, inclusion, and wellbeing across the site
  • Manage delegated resources effectively to deliver best value and outcomes
  • Contribute to whole-school development across all Drumbeat sites

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant leadership experience

  • Significant experience of leadership within a SEND or specialist setting
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver sustained improvement
  • Strong understanding of SEND, safeguarding, and inclusive practice
  • Experience of managing staff, finances, and school operations at a senior level
  • Ability to make sound decisions and manage complex situations effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships
