Cromwell Community College, part of the Active Learning Trust, is a good school which aspires to be an outstanding school. We look to our science department to be a driving force towards this aspiration. We are looking to appoint an inspirational science teacher to lead our successful science department at Cromwell Community College.
We are a successful, oversubscribed school with a rising roll and in 2020-21 became the first all through school in Cambridgeshire welcoming our first EYFS class on their 4-18 journey. The science department is large and offers successful courses at GCSE, A-level, including Biology, chemistry and Physics and BTEC Science. The Head of Science also line manages the Health and Social Care department, which is a highly successful course offered in both Key Stage 4 and 5. GCSE Combined Science outcomes are often among the best in the College and Separate Science uptake continues to rise. In 2021-22, we opened an additional two new classrooms to ensure each member of staff had their own space, while we have also recently upgraded all audio-visual equipment in the rooms to a brand new suite of Promethean boards.
We are looking for an innovative and inspiring leader to continue the development of the department. The successful candidate will have the support of an experienced and dedicated team of teachers and a well-equipped and resourced department. This is an excellent time to join the department to support the college’s drive to become outstanding.
