About the role
The Head of Science will lead a dynamic department delivering a practical, enquiry-based science curriculum across biology, chemistry and physics. You will drive the development of a spiral curriculum that builds progressively from KS3 to A levels, fostering scientific knowledge, investigative skills and analytical thinking in line with the National Curriculum. This leadership role involves strategic planning, operational management, staff development and quality assurance to ensure high standards of teaching, learning and pupil outcomes. Proven experience in using data to drive improvements, managing performance, and ensuring compliance with policies is essential. A commitment to high-quality teaching, safeguarding and contributing to academy life beyond the classroom will be key to your success.
