Head of Science job summary

Middlewich High School is excited to offer a Head of Science with whole school leadership of STEM position for September 2025.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional practitioner whose passion and love of their subject and learning inspires students and their team. Our mantra ‘Excellence in Learning – Achievement for All’ ensures no student gets left behind and the progress and attainment of all our students is paramount. We are seeking to appoint someone who has the passion and commitment to continue the journey to excellence and is eager to make a difference. In addition, we are seeking a leader with proven success in leading and effectively managing staff.

The Science department is at an exciting point, where results have risen dramatically over the previous two years. You will help shape the future direction of the department and the school to ensure students exceed expectations. Our ambition is to be in the top 20% of school nationally for student outcomes.
