What skills and experience we're looking for
- Lead the Science team, fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement
- Support and develop outstanding teaching and learning practises across all science subjects
- Design, develop, and enhance the science curriculum to ensure it is engaging, relevant, and challenging
- Monitor and analyse student progress and outcomes to inform targeted interventions and improvements
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to promote science and STEM opportunities
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives focused on raising standards and enriching the student experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience teaching science
- Proven leadership experience within a secondary school setting, preferably in science
- Strong understanding of the science curriculum and assessment requirements
- Experience in curriculum development and staff professional development
- A dynamic and motivational leader with the ability to inspire staff and students alike
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to student wellbeing and raising aspirations
- Innovative thinker with a passion for science education and continuous improvement
