The Bridge Trust is a unique Multi Academy Trust which consists of five special schools, two mainstream schools, a Training & Development Service and an Outreach Service. We are an ambitious family of schools that embraces the individuality of everyone – children and adults. We acknowledge that learning can look different for different pupils and staff, and we look to change our approach to meet the needs of the individual. The Bridge Fen Rivers is a therapeutic SEMH Special School offering full time education and therapeutic support to up to 96 children aged between 5 and 16 years old. Pupils are referred to the school by the local authority. 

Fen Rivers, which is part of The Bridge Trust, provides young people with specialist education in order for them to progress and succeed in sustained education or employment. We are recruiting for a Head of Science or Maths:  

  • To provide effective leadership and management on a specific academy for; delivering a safe and secure education provision for students with complex needs and behaviours. 
  • To be the driver in behaviour management and student support for complex and vulnerable students. 
  • To manage the educational environment, which supports and motivates students with complex needs, whilst they undertake a high quality and aspirational curriculum.  
  • To drive performance and outcomes in engagement, curriculum, quality of teaching, safety, achievement and progression. 
  • To work with the Operations Manager to ensure that the Trust’s overall effectiveness is judged by OFSTED as consistently good or outstanding
