What skills and experience we're looking for

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and ambitious colleague who embodies our values and is ready to play a key role in shaping the future of Science at Southfields Academy. As a middle leader, you will lead the curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13, ensuring it is coherent, expertly taught and enriched with high-quality resources. You will inspire colleagues, nurture subject pedagogy and enhance subject knowledge through coaching, mentoring and modelling best practice. Your leadership will strengthen our culture of excellence, high expectations and continual improvement, helping students achieve exceptional outcomes.

We are looking for:

  • A passionate and experienced science teacher with a proven track record of success across all key stages.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience of curriculum development and staff development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality and the Academy’s vision and values.
