What skills and experience we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will:
have the ability teach and lead across the technologies, with a focus on specific responsibility for Engineering and Design and Technology across all age and ability ranges
Be supportive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable in their leadership of our Heads of Food Science, Business and Computing.
have experience of designing and developing a robust and inspiring curriculum which challenges students
be passionate about teaching in Design and Technology and committed to raising the attainment of all students
demonstrate high levels of ambition and optimism regarding what the department and its students can achieve
embrace our ethos and passion for our 3 R’s of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
The Role: Head of Technology and Engineering
We are seeking a dedicated and visionary leader for the position of Head of Technologies and Engineering & DT. This role is ideally suited for experienced educators with a strong background in Engineering, Design & Technology, and a proven record of inspiring both students and staff, be with demonstrable evidence of ability and impact when leading others across the technology subjects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5, while also driving innovation and excellence within our specialist subjects.
