What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a passionate teacher to join our happy and hardworking staff team. The advertised post will be a permanent position to lead Woodlands, a 30 place Autism Resource Base. The provision is oversubscribed and offers excellent support to children and parents. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven or aspiring leader to further develop this excellent provision and ensure we offer outstanding provision to our community.
The school is set in Netley Campus which includes Woodlands, Robson House PRU, Outreach and Language & Communication Team and an Adult Learning Centre. We are a large, culturally and socially diverse school with a strong inclusive ethos, driven by a committed and happy staff. The school is set in Regents Park estate, an area which has one of the highest poverty indices in England. We are very proud to have a centre for children who have Autism (Woodlands) and Acorns, our provision for two year olds.
The Head of Woodlands will have the following responsibilities:
Have responsibility for the overall leadership of the ASD base, with support from the SENDCo and Senior Leadership team
Have class teaching responsibilities (0.4) and other cover when necessary.

Netley Primary School is a aspirational two form entry primary school in Camden with an autism resource base for 30 pupils and a centre for two year olds. Situated on Netley Campus we are located alongside an Adult Learning Centre, Camden’s Primary Pupil Referral Unit and an NHS Language & Communications Team. We are a Gold UNICEF Rights Respecting school and this ethos permeates through all aspects of school life. The successful candidates will be prepared to work hard and respond to daily challenges, but not have unreasonable demands placed upon them in terms of hours worked, marking or evidencing. Most of our staff stay between 5-15 years as we offer a nurturing, respectful environment where teachers have freedom to teach and to grow.
