What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a highly effective, inspirational and skilful head of year. The main responsibilities of the role include, for the year group:
- Managing the tutors, and leading on the tutor programme
- Leading on rewards and celebrations
- Leading assemblies
- Overseeing the professional development curriculum, including careers
- Overseeing the extra-curricular offers available
- Writing Additional Needs Plans
- Conducting student voice
- Ensuring good behaviour
The role also includes teaching responsibility and this can be from any subject group.
