What skills and experience we're looking for

Overall Responsibilities:

  • To take a lead in raising the achievement of the students within an identified Year Group.

  • Analysing national and school data to track, monitor and intervene to improve student outcomes.

  • Liaise with TLR post holders to identify and remove potential barriers to enable student progress across the curriculum.

  • To take lead responsibility for the behaviour, discipline, uniform, attendance and punctuality of students in the Year.

  • To take a lead role in the monitoring of the academic welfare of students in the Year and the removal of barriers to progress.

  • Maintain an overview of all significant groups within the Year, e.g. SEND, DA, HPA, vulnerable groups and respond effectively to their needs and ensure a high profile is given to the identification and planning for these groups in the classroom in order to ensure the progress of every student.

  • To support the development of personal potential for students in the Year.

  • To complete line management duties in line with school policy.
