As Head of Year, you will:

  • Lead a talented team of form tutors, fostering a positive, high-expectation culture for around 160 pupils.
  • Champion academic progress, attendance and wellbeing, coordinating effective interventions with families and external agencies.
  • Design and deliver inspiring assemblies, rewards and enrichment—including a residential experience—and oversee a smooth transition from primary school.
  • Build strong links with local primaries and play a key part in whole-school initiatives.
  • Model and uphold Ellesmere Park’s inclusive ethos, working closely with SLT and colleagues across our nine-school Trust

About you

We’re looking for someone who can motivate, empathise and lead by example. You will have:

  • Five GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Proven experience working with young people and their families, ideally in a pastoral or guidance role.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and ICT skills (SIMS/CPOMS knowledge welcomed).
  • The drive to promote equality, diversity and the highest standards of behaviour.
  • A clean driving licence and the flexibility to play a full part in school life.
