We are looking for a Head of Year (Non Teaching)
Key responsibilities:
- To follow all safeguarding procedures and to work closely with child protection leads to ensure identified students are closely monitored.
- To contribute ideas to the development and improvement of pastoral support assisted by information and experiences of good practice in other establishments
- To co-ordinate delivery of the pastoral curriculum, liaising with other Heads of Year
- To ensure continuity and progression of pastoral provision throughout the academy
- To provide intervention strategies to students who experience barriers to their learning.
Pay range: 37 hours per week, 39 working weeks per year - Actual Salary £34,494.92 - £36,743.86 (Fringe Allowance)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
- Understanding of the national curriculum especially core subject areas
- Demonstrable understanding of young peoples’ social, emotional and educational development needs
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues and procedures
