Head of Year Non Teaching job summary
We are seeking a non-teaching Head of Year to work with our KS3 students. Each Head of Year has responsibility for one Year Group within the school, in respect of all welfare, guidance and disciplinary issues, and leads a team of Form Tutors to facilitate this. Working closely with the other Heads of Year, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Student Support and the Pastoral Team, the Head of Year will play a very important part in the creation of a positive ethos, in the maintenance of an orderly atmosphere and in fostering productive home-school links to ensure attendance and behaviour are excellent.
Pastoral care is of the highest importance and we are committed to providing the best possible learning environment to develop confident, independent learners. We provide an ambitious and broad curriculum and ensure that students have opportunities outside the classroom to develop and inspire them, including a wide range of extracurricular activities.
You will have excellent organisational skills and experience of working with external agencies and as part of a team. Demonstrable experience of supporting children or young people and enabling them to achieve positive outcomes and a working knowledge of the current Keeping Children Safe in Education Regulations is essential.
Working with us:
