Head of Year (Non-Teaching) job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Head of Year (non-teaching) to play a pivotal role in improving outcomes, transforming lives and enabling social mobility for our pupils. The successful candidate will lead and co-ordinate a year group, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality pastoral support, with a strong focus on attendance, punctuality, behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
Working under the guidance of senior leaders, you will be accountable for the pastoral and academic progress of pupils within your year group, using data to identify needs, implement targeted interventions and monitor impact. You will work closely with tutors, parents, carers and external agencies to provide a consistent and supportive approach, ensuring that every pupil is able to thrive and achieve their full potential.
As a visible and professional presence within the school, you will contribute to a positive culture, promote the school’s values and act as an ambassador for the academy at all times.
