We are seeking to appoint an inclusive, highly organised and resilient Head of Year to take on the challenge of supporting our school community through the school’s values, and who can communicate clearly, and with kindness, with parents and carers. Attendance and behaviour are two key School Development Priorities, and we want someone with the knowledge, skills and expertise to drive standards whilst maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders. The ability, and willingness, to teach outside of your subject, if required, is also highly desirable.
You must be able to build great relationships with students and staff, be calm and controlled, and be able to follow our behaviour and reward systems consistently. You will be working within a busy school environment and will need to have high expectations of our learners and our staff.
Our behaviour systems are consistent and inclusive; staff are expected to take a relational approach with students when applying them.
We provide excellent training, development and learning opportunities.
We offer:
- Enhanced CPD, including access to professional networks across the Trust
- Paid induction and training suited to the role
- Confidential access to an Employee Assistance Programme
- Free parking
- Use of the Cycle Scheme
- Paid completion of a DBS check
- Free eye tests (where the employee is desk-based)
- Where eligible, automatic enrolment to the relevant pension scheme
- Honouring of continuous service earned in the Local Authority
