The postholder will have a whole school teaching and learning responsibility in the area of head of year for a year group. Within the year group the teacher will:
- Impact on educational progress beyond their assigned pupils
- Lead, develop and enhance the teaching practice of others
- Be accountable for leading, managing and developing whole school policy and
- practice in the identified area of the year group.

Learning spaces have been carefully designed to provide optimum conditions for learning and the allocation of ICT facilities to teaching rooms is very generous.
