- Have proven successful leadership experience at an Early Years Foundation Stage Level.
- Be an inspirational role model with strong leadership, management and organisational skills, who displays authority and sensitivity.
- Be committed to developing a dynamic school culture and ethos of achievement, excitement and enjoyment in a safe, caring environment where everyone is valued and happy.
- Be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in maximising the potential of all children to be the best that they can be within a child centred environment.
- Have the ability to sustain and enhance our excellent relationships with parents, staff, governors and the community.
- Will be committed to safeguarding, promoting equal opportunities for all.
- Have a commitment to working in partnership with staff, parents and the community to promote excellent learning opportunities for all.
- Be prepared to be the school’s SENCO, completing the NPQ for SENCO’s if you do not hold a relevent qualification already.

Description:
Gloucester Nursery School is a Local Authority Maintained Nursery School and is situated on the outskirts of the main town centre in Northampton. The nursery caters for children from the age of 2 until they transfer to primary school. Currently 87 children are on roll, accessing part time and full time places. The 2 year olds are situated in a smaller nursery building and then transfer to the main nursery building onsite for their Foundation Stage 1 year. We pride ourselves on our inclusive ethos and practice and have our own internal specialist provision.. Facilities are very good, with extensive outdoor areas and learning environments are well resourced. Parents are encouraged to play an active part in the life of the nursery.
