What the school offers its staff

About the School

North Cestrian School (NCS) is one of the two secondary schools within the Hamblin Education Trust. Following the retirement of Lee Bergin after thirteen years of excellent service, trustees and governors seek a Headteacher to lead the school during its next phase of development. Formerly an independent school, North Cestrian joined the state sector in 2016 in partnership with Altrincham Grammar School for Boys as a mixed 11–16 non-selective school serving the Altrincham catchment area.

Over the past nine years, pupil numbers have grown steadily to a current total of around 800. As pupil numbers continue to increase across the secondary sector locally, we are in discussion with the local authority regarding plans to expand the school site to meet these growing needs.
