Headteacher job summary

Riddings Junior School are seeking an ambitious, caring and committed leader to guide our school into its next chapter.

Embark Federation, and our governors, are looking to appoint someone who will build on our strong foundations and lead our continued improvement journey to ensure we are the best we can be for our children, staff, and community.

We warmly welcome applications from both experienced headteachers and deputy headteachers ready for their first headship, who share our belief that every child deserves to thrive and will be part of both the school and trust community.

  • Is relentless in their drive to help all children and staff realise their potential.
  • Leads behaviour positively and consistently.
  • Recognises the value of outdoor learning and wider enrichment opportunities.
  • Supports staff well-being and development.
  • Works effectively with a supportive Governing Board to drive strategic direction.
  • Collaborates across the Embark Federation to share best practice and build capacity.
