As our new Headteacher, you will confidently continue and accelerate the school’s improvement journey, building on strong foundations to secure exceptional outcomes for every pupil. You’ll bring strategic clarity and everyday warmth—shaping great teaching, championing inclusion, and building brilliant partnerships with families, staff and the wider community

The role — what you’ll lead

  • A clear, values‑led strategy: Co‑create and deliver an ambitious Academy Improvement Plan, underpinned by rigorous self‑evaluation and evidence‑informed practice.
  • Exceptional teaching and learning: Sustain an environment where outstanding teaching, effective learning and high standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance are the norm. Ensure a broad, well‑sequenced curriculum and robust assessment.
  • People and culture: Develop, empower and hold colleagues to account through purposeful performance management, professional development and thoughtful delegation—promoting wellbeing and collaborative working.
  • Resources for impact: Deploy people, budget, and space to maximise value for pupils—ensuring health & safety and value for money.
  • Community and partnership: Be the outward‑facing advocate for the academy—working closely with the Trust, governors, parents and local partners to share best practice and enhance outcomes.

About you — what you bring

  • A proven primary leader with Qualified Teacher Status and significant senior leadership experience, including a track record of raising standards and leading change.
  • Strategic and systems‑savvy: Confident with self‑evaluation, data, safeguarding, SEND, statutory frameworks and school finance.
  • A people‑first culture‑builder: Approachable, resilient and creative—able to inspire, empower and develop others while holding high expectations.
  • A collaborative influencer: Skilled communicator who forges strong relationships with pupils, staff, governors, families and the wider community.
