Headteacher job summary

We are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced professional with a remit to further shape our improvement plan while continuing to raise standards. Able to effectively motivate inspire and influence pupils, staff and stakeholders, you will assume responsibility for all aspects of school life. This will include directing the school’s strategic planning, leading the development of the curriculum and delivering an outstanding provision which meets the needs of all our young people. To succeed, you must be a proven leader and manager with a good understanding of the needs and demands of a small rural school. An excellent communicator, your ability to develop a small team, maximise pupil numbers and manage positive change will be key to your success.
