What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone with excellent leadership, teaching, organisation and communication skills who will put the children at the heart of everything we do. There will be a very limited teaching commitment as the focus is on staff and curriculum development and leadership in the first instance, to deliver the best quality education we can for our children. This will be supported by training and career development opportunities at all levels.

What the school offers its staff

This post offers a great opportunity to be a key part of shaping the future of our school and leading it positively into the future. Children and staff are enthusiastic and engaged both in lessons and in the many after school activities and trips. There is a thriving PTFA, frequent interaction with the local community and great parental support. The school has recently been through a period of significant change and we are responding proactively to this by refocusing on our Core Values, restructuring and exploring closer long-term collaboration with other local schools.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and welfare of children. Successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
