We are a good school (Ofsted May 2018) serving a diverse community with a degree of deprivation and a broad mix of pupils. We are a school that believes strongly that our job is to ensure that all, both pupils and adults, are constantly learning. Our motto is “all learning together” with choice and opportunity. We are keen to appoint an inspirational and innovative leader who will build upon our successes and will encourage pupils and staff to be the best people they can be.

About the Role:

The Governors are looking to appoint an individual who:

  • Has relevant experience and track record of leading substantial whole school improvement, either as a serving Headteacher or a Deputy Head
  • Is a passionate champion for children to learn and thrive in a happy, caring and inclusive environment
  • Uses resources, creativity, innovation and self-evaluation in order to be successful
  • Has the ability to communicate with and develop strong links with parents and carers, as well as all other stakeholders

  • Has a highly developed understanding of what makes the best teaching and learning and the proven ability to develop staff to achieve excellence
  • Is energetic, open and approachable with all members of the school community
  • Will build on the rich curriculum opportunities that we already have across the whole school

In return we offer a school that has:

  • A committed and supportive Governing Body
  • A talented and hard working staff team, dedicated to developing pupils to be the best they can be
  • Networking opportunities within WEC and with other local Headteachers, as well as through Challenge Partners
