Due to the retirement of the long serving current headteacher, Giffards Primary School is now seeking an experienced leader to guide our high achieving school forward. Giffards is a two-form entry primary standalone academy with an inclusive ethos at our core. Following the school's mission statement ‘Valuing Everyone As Learners’, we promote care, nurture, and excellence in learning for all of our pupils, staff and stakeholders. We are passionate about ensuring high-quality education for every child and achieve above national results. To ensure we are outward looking, we work collaboratively with other standalone academies in Thurrock (IPAG) to achieve excellent outcomes for all.
The school was judged 'GOOD' by Ofsted in March 2022

Giffards has been a primary school for over 20 years and a standalone academy since 2014. We currently have 14 classes with 408 pupils. We are a welcoming, friendly and inclusive primary standalone academy, where we nurture and celebrate the achievements of all of our children. We have a large experienced team of teachers and LSAs as well as specialist Music and PE staff. We have invested heavily in ICT; all our classrooms have interactive screens as does our music room. Every child has access to their own chrome book as well as a set of headphones. All teaching staff have their own laptops which are used for planning and centralisation of information and resources.
Giffards Primary School continues to be a good school. The pupils at Giffards Primary School are walking, talking examples of the school’s values, particularly being caring and respectful. They build warm, supportive relationships with staff - Ofsted March 2022
