Headteacher job summary

Pay Grade L9-L15 (£60,644-£70,293 gross per annum)

We are looking to appoint a motivated and successful leader to be the next headteacher of our Academy. Gipsey Bridge is a small rural academy with four classes covering seven-year groups. We are looking to appoint someone who can lead the academy onto the next stage of its journey. This post will include a 0.4 teaching commitment.

Our new Headteacher will have the highest of ambitions for our children. They will be an excellent leader and a great communicator with a clear vision for a high-quality education. They will appreciate the benefits of working with a supportive team of staff, trustees and parents. They will also be committed to the wellbeing of children, staff and engage with the local community. As Headteacher, they will enjoy working closely with other schools in the local area and the academy trust, learning from and sharing best practice.

Gipsey Bridge is a strong academy and was rated as GOOD at our latest Ofsted inspection in June 2024.
