Howitt Primary Community School is a caring, inclusive community school where relationships matter and children are known well as individuals. Everything we do is guided by what matters most to our children: Achieving their best, Caring for others and Enjoying learning (ACE).
This vacancy follows the planned retirement of a long-standing and highly respected Headteacher who has led the school with care, consistency and strong values over many years. We are therefore seeking a Headteacher who will build on what is already strong, protect the culture, and lead the school confidently into its next chapter. This is a large school with a complex layout which requires careful thought and professional practice to keep a strong unified provision.
Howitt Primary Community School has a committed, experienced staff team, a strong reputation for inclusion and pastoral care, and high expectations for behaviour and learning. This is a role for a leader who values continuity as much as ambition, someone who leads calmly, builds trust with staff and families, and keeps children’s wellbeing and outcomes at the centre of every decision.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in leadership who will:

Champion inclusion and ensure high-quality provision for all pupils
