Headteacher job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual with proven leadership experience to join our Trust as Headteacher of Kings Meadow School.

The above position offers an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to be the lead in the continuing development of our special school which currently caters for over 50 fantastic pupils aged 4-11 who have a SEMH needs and may have associated needs such as delays in learning and development, and/or trauma.  

The school has recently entered a significant transitional phase and benefits from a committed staff team with a very clear vision for school improvement. This opportunity would offer the successful candidate an exciting leadership challenge to be part of the development journey and the ability to make real differences to the lives our wonderful young people. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and working closely with our Director of Education, you will be responsible for the safeguarding, the curriculum, learning and teaching, student progress and achievement, and ensuring the effective day to day operation of the school through leading your team and managing resources effectively and efficiently. You will have operational management of the budget and responsibility for all staff at the school. You will support the Trust to create a culture of high expectation, self-evaluation and constant improvement. In return you will be supported by colleagues from across our Trust; our other schools and college, as well as the shared services team who manage the business services so you can focus on developing the unique culture of your school.
